The Sierra Vista Avenue Park project consists of design and construction of an approximately 0.8 acre mini-park on a City-owned parcel.

In 1998, the City purchased the 33,700 square foot parcel at 859 Sierra Vista Avenue for development of a mini-park. The project was fully funded in 2006, and on November 14, 2006 the City authorized a landscape architectural design services contract.
The design intent for Sierra Vista Avenue Park is to develop a mini-park that includes children’s play area and landscaped open space that meets the needs of the neighborhood. In December 2006 and February 2007, the City held two community meetings to hear from neighbors about the park design. The input from these meetings was used to prepare a conceptual plan.
