After School Programs

The City of Mountain View Recreation Division provides after school programs at four elementary schools and two middle schools.

The City provides after school programming for youth to experience social interaction, create a safe place for youth while parents are at work, positive adult role model interaction, a sense of belonging, increase self esteem, positive peer influence and a community who values youth!

Beyond the Bell After School Program
Beyond the Bell After School Program is offered at Crittenden Middle School, Castro Elementary, Landels Elementary, Monta Loma Elementary, and Theuerkauf Elementary. The program consists of various components including homework assistance, recreation activities, technology, and enrichment activities. This is a free after school program offered in cooperation with the Mountain View-Whisman School District.

-Build confidence and self-esteem

Tween Time After School Program at Graham Middle School - Graham Students ENROLL TODAY!
Graham Tween Time Program is a free, supervised, drop in after school program sponsored by the City of Mountain View Recreation Division and the Mountain View-Whisman School District. This program is offered to 6th, 7th, and 8th graders attending Graham Middle School. Program takes place everyday until 6:00 pm beginning Tuesday, September 9 and runs until Thursday, May 28, 2009.

This program consists of Tween Time Recreation, and a School Homework Study Hall. Tween Time Recreation is staffed by trained Recreation Leaders who create a fun and safe environment for participating in recreation programming on site every day. Tween Time offers activities, sports, crafts, cooking, tournaments, games and more. The School Homework Study Hall is staffed by a school district instructional aide who will enforce a positive, interactive, yet quiet study environment. 

Tween Time program participants will be placed into three groups – Green, Purple and Yellow.  These three groups will rotate between three stations: One Homework Assistance Center and two Tween Time Recreation Stations. 
Green Team –  6th Grade Last Name A-L
Purple Team –  6th Grade Last Name M-Z
Yellow Team –  7th/8th Grade
*Due to the high amount of participants who register, students will be placed into one of the above groups, and will be unable to choose which group they are in.

1) Complete a registration form for your student. You may obtain a form at the front office at Graham Middle School or by downloading the pdf here:
