|  | These rules have been established to protect the health, safety and cleanliness of our pools and swimmers. Lifeguards may establish other rules as necessary. GENERAL POOL RULES - Everyone who enters the pool facility must pay an entrance fee
- Swimmers must shower before entering the pool.
- Conversation with the lifeguards should be limited. Please refer questions and concerns to the staff in the office. Patrons will not obstruct the lifeguards view.
- Groups of 20+ need prior approval to attend recreation swim at least two weekdays in advance.
- Aluminum lawn chairs are permitted on the lawn area.
- The pool may close due to in-climate weather.
- All patrons will comply with the directions of the Lifeguards and Aquatics Staff. Failure to comply will result in dismissal from the facility.
- Food and Drink are not permitted in the facility.
- Clear plastic water bottles containing water are okay. Coolers may contain only water and are subject to inspection.
- Children must be 48” tall to ride the slide. NO exceptions.
Attire - All swimmers must wear a bathing suit. Clean bathing suits only permitted in the pool.
- Board shorts may be worn only if they do not contain metal snaps, zippers, or buttons.
- Rash-guards that are not loose are permitted in the water for sun protection purposes only.
- Street clothes including; T-shirts, un-hemmed shorts, cut-offs, bike shorts or leotards, are not allowed in the water.
- Items with metal zippers, snaps, buckles or buttons are NOT permitted.
Conduct and Safety - No RUNNING in the facility or around the pool deck.
- No roughhousing allowed inside the pool area, showers or locker rooms.
- No playing or hanging on the lane lines or ropes.
- No person shall hang on the back of another person
- No flotation devices (i.e. water wings, inflatable tubes).
- No toys, masks, or fins.
- Profanity will not be tolerated.
- Animals are not permitted in the facility
Infants/Children - Infants and toddlers must wear plastic pants or swim diapers under their swimsuits.
- Children under 48” tall must be accompanied in the water by an adult at least 18 years old.
- Attended strollers/car seats are permitted in the designated spectator area only.
- No children over the age of 6 may use the wadding pool.
Parents - A fifteen minute swim will occur during each recreation swim session
- Parents must remain in physical contact with children under 48” in the pool.
- Parents must hold children in front of them (not on shoulders or around the neck)
- Parents are responsible for maintaining the safety of their children in the wading pool.
Diving/Deep End - Swimmers must demonstrate, to a lifeguard, that they can swim one width of the pool to be eligible to use the diving board or swim in t he deep end.
- One person on the board at a time.
- Diver must wait until the previous diver is at the ladder or under the rope before going off the board.
- One bounce only.
- Unsafe dives are not permitted; no back dives, twists or inverts. Front flips okay.
- No back dives or flips off the deck.
- Swimming is not allowed in diving areas.
- Dive straight out in front of the board and exit at the ladder or by swimming under the rope immediately after going off the board.
- Do not swim directly in front of, behind or underneath the diving board.
- Diving from the side of the pool is permitted only in depths greater than 8 feet.
- No back dives off of the diving board.
Slide Rules - Riders must be 48 inches tall to ride the slide
- Slides must be ridden feet first, lying on your back or in a sitting position
- Never form chains
- Riders must wait for the signal before starting the ride
- Do not run, dive, stand, kneel, rotate or stop in the slide
- At the end of the slide, obey all instructions by the attendant and exit quickly
- Glasses must be securely affixed to riders with head straps
- Riders are not permitted to be caught at the bottom of the slide
- Riders must exit the pool independently
- One rider at a time on the slide
