The following Monday, all the plans will be ready to be picked up at the Building Inspection Division counter.
Requirements for Submittal in the Fast Track Program
- The project must be a B occupancy (primary office use), less than 10,000 square feet in area and must be a previously improved tenant space.
- Title 24 State Energy documentation must be submitted as required by the California Building Code. Two sets of wet-signed documentation are required for each submittal.
- Three (3) sets of wet-signed (stamped and signed) by a State of California licensed architect or professional engineer.
- There can be no exterior modifications in these plans.
- No hazardous occupancies, assembly occupancies or lab areas with unqualified amounts and types of chemicals will be allowed.
- A process description letter is required when the project includes a use or process(es) other than an office or retail type use.
- No elaborate structural changes to the building or area being modified will be allowed (i.e. bearing walls, beams, footings, large HVAC roof equipment, etc.)
- If a second plan check is required, plans must be resubmitted by Tuesday afternoon in order for the recheck to be processed by the following Monday. All original plans and paperwork must accompany the resubmitted plans and documentation.
