Task Force Overview
The Environmental Sustainability Task Force is a group of Mayor-appointed citizens dedicated to helping the City shape it sustainability goals. The Task Force convened in February 2008 and is scheduled to conclude its work in August 2008.
Mission:
To recommend achievable short-term and long-term community-wide actions to reduce
greenhouse gas emissions and create a sustainable environment.
Goal:
To meet or exceed California's requirements for emissions reduction.
More and more people are concerned about the negative environmental effects of greenhouse gas emissions, energy and water use, and waste production. If you would like to help the Task Force collect information and prepare its recommendations report, please join us at an upcoming meeting.
